August 2026 Prayer Requests
As a new school year begins, we are filled with gratitude for the opportunity to welcome our students back to Thrive. A new semester brings new faces, new relationships, and new opportunities to walk alongside our students and families academically, emotionally, physically, and, most importantly, spiritually.
We know that none of this work happens apart from the Lord. As our sites settle into their fall rhythms, would you join us in praying for our students, staff, interns, and volunteers? We are so grateful for a community that faithfully covers Thrive in prayer.

Praises
Praise God for a full roster of students as we begin the fall semester. We are grateful for every student the Lord has entrusted to our care.
Praise for new beginnings. Five new kindergarten students are joining our Westland family this semester! We are thankful for the opportunity to begin building relationships with these young students at such an important stage in their lives.
Praise for the interns joining Thrive this fall. We are grateful for the young adults who have chosen to invest their time, gifts, and hearts in our students this semester.
Prayer Requests
Pray for God to provide the right people for our sites. Please pray that each site will be fully staffed this fall and that the Lord will provide interns who love Him deeply and will share that love with our students through the way they serve, encourage, and care for them each day.
Pray for faithful, consistent volunteers. Pray that God will provide volunteers who will show up consistently and develop meaningful, Christ-centered relationships with our students.
Pray for our youngest new students. Pray that each child will quickly feel safe, known, and deeply loved at Thrive, and that our staff will have wisdom and patience as they help them adjust to a new routine.
Pray for our new interns. Ask the Lord to help them adjust well to their sites, build strong relationships with staff and students, and quickly find their place within the Thrive family. Pray that their own faith will deepen as they serve and that students will see Christ reflected through them.
Pray for a strong beginning to the school year. Pray for our students as they return to classrooms, teachers, routines, and expectations. Ask God to give them confidence, perseverance, peace, and a desire to learn.
Pray for our staff as they begin another semester of ministry. Pray for endurance, wisdom, patience, and an abundance of love. On the difficult days, remind them that even the smallest moments of consistency and care can have a lasting impact in the life of a child.
Above all, please pray that every student who walks through the doors of Thrive would know that they are seen, known, loved, and created with purpose by God. May this semester be filled with opportunities to point students toward Jesus and remind them of the hope they have in Him.
